Tammy Hignite

–

Dayton, Ohio

Tammy J. Hignite, born on December 26, 1964, has left us to be in the loving embrace of her Heavenly Father on August 6, 2026. Tammy, whose name is synonymous with love, ambition, adventure, and compassion, was a shining star in the lives of those who had the privilege to know her. A longtime resident of Dayton, Ohio, she graced her community with her infectious laughter and unwavering kindness.

Tammy was a woman who held her family close to her heart, with her daughters, Deborah Petty and Sasha Hignite, being the center of her universe. She was a beacon of love and light for her family, a tower of strength amid life's challenges. Her love for music, crafts, and cooking were the life of many family gatherings, her delicious meals and captivating tunes filling every room with joy. Tammy's favorite TV shows were a constant source of amusement and bonding, and her passion for life was an inspiration for all. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Treva Chrysler, whose love and guidance shaped Tammy into the remarkable woman she became.

Tammy lived her life in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ, embodying the verse from Corinthians 16:14, "Let all that you do be done in love." She was truly a reflection of this verse, her actions speaking volumes about her loving nature and compassionate spirit. Her life was a testimony of love, ambition, adventure, and compassion, and while she will be greatly missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

As we remember Tammy, we encourage friends and family to share their memories and upload photos of Tammy to the memorial page. Let us celebrate her life and remember her not just for the love she gave us, but for the incredible woman she was.
