Greenville, Ohio
On June 28, 2025, Scott Douglas Lopez, born on March 8, 1965, to James and the late Sharon Lopez, left his mortal coil and ascended to eternity. A native to Denver, Colorado, Scott ventured from his birthplace and made Greenville, Ohio his home for 20 years. His dedicated, empathetic, reliable, and loving spirit will be deeply missed but forever celebrated.
Scott, a longtime employee in the property management industry, was a testament to the value of hard work, dedication, and self-reliance. He spent the last decade of his career serving as a maintenance professional, where he applied his typical reliability and dedication to ensure the smooth functioning of several properties. However, Scott's life was far more than his job. He was a man who put others' needs above his own, particularly his family, and many friends. As Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience." This quote resonated with Scott who lived his life to the fullest, always surprising those around him with his selfless actions, like becoming an organ donor, a decision that reflected his profound empathy and respect for life.
Scott leaves behind a loving family who will fondly remember his warm heart and kind soul. Surviving him are his sons Mitchell and Jeffery Lopez, his father James Lopez, and his brother Sean Lopez. Scott was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sharon Lopez.
Scott was an embodiment of love, dedication, and empathy. His life was a testament to the beauty of selfless love and service to others. His memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to have known him. As we bid farewell to Scott, we celebrate his life, his achievements, and the countless lives he touched with his generosity and kindness.
Please feel free to share your cherished memories of Scott on his memorial page and upload photos to honor his remarkable life.
