Celebrating the Life of Robert Lee (Love Song) Taylor.
On May 7, 2026, the world lost a gentle soul, a steady hand, and a loving heart. Robert Lee Taylor, aged 70, passed away peacefully in Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by the family he cherished above all else.
Born on February 24, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio Robert grew up with a curiosity for the world and a kindness that never faded. From his earliest days, he was the one who would stop to help a neighbor, share a laugh with a stranger, or quietly lend his strength when it was needed most.
As a father to Ca'Cherrie and Cammie, he was a patient teacher, a tireless supporter, and the kind of dad who showed up — whether it was for a graduation, a late-night talk, or a flat tire.
Robert had a gift for fixing anything, and he poured his heart into singing and repairing computers. But more than his accomplishments, it was the way he made people feel — valued, heard, and loved — that defined him.
He leaves behind Daughters Ca'Cherrie and Cammie Taylor (Linda Lee Roper), Grandson Johnathan Perkins Jr., Sisters Marsha Brown, Rebbecca Brown, Victoria Fisher, Brenda K Brown. Brothers Ernest Taylor and Arthur Hill, chosen family member Benny Le, who will carry forward his lessons of kindness, resilience, and joy. He is preceeded in death by his Mother Anna Pearl Taylor(Brown), Sisters Shelia Brown and Sylvia Taylor, Brothers Derrick Taylor, Anthony Taylor, and Quinton Taylor.
In honor of his generous spirit, the family asks that donations be made to your Local animal shelter — a reflection of the way he always gave more than he took.
Though our hearts may now feel empty, his presence will forever fill the room — in the stories we tell, the memories we keep, and the love we share.
