Nancy Ann Young

Nancy Young, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of the Kettering community, passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born on December 25, 1931, in Dayton, Ohio, on Christmas Day, a date that reflected the warmth and love she brought into the world.

Nancy was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Joseph Young. She is lovingly remembered by her five sons: Chris, Dan, Tom, Joel, and Andy Young; as well as her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy. She was also the cherished sister of her late older brother, William Denlinger, and her younger brother, David Denlinger.

Known for her sharp wit, contagious laugh, and compassionate heart, Nancy had an unparalleled ability to brighten the lives of everyone she encountered. Her spirit of kindness and joy will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Nancy also had a deep commitment to health and wellness, regularly attending the Kettering Rec Center’s Fitness Room for over 30 years, setting an inspiring example of vitality and perseverance.

An unforgettable member of her family and community, Nancy's legacy will live on through the love and warmth she shared with those around her.

A mass and a Celebration of Life will be held at Ascension Catholic Church on Friday, January 24th, at 11:00 am. The church is located at 2025 Woodman Dr, Kettering, OH 45420.
