LaVan Stark, a beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend, who departed this life on June 25, 2025, at the age of 29 in Dayton, Ohio.

LaVan was born on September 13, 1995, in Dayton, Ohio. He was the cherished son of LaVan Stark and Marleda A. Carter-Jones, and a devoted brother to Jared Jones, J’Marlen Jones, Jacari Jones, Damarion Smith, and Sister ShaVana “VeVe” Stark. He also shared a close bond with his special aunt Jacquelyn Robinson and special uncle Ludie Johnson, along with a host of other family members and dear friends who deeply loved him.

LaVan graduated from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, in 2014. After high school, moved back to Dayton,Ohio. He worked at DMax Manufacturing, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

LaVan will be remembered for his warm heart, bright smile, and generous spirit. He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed bowling, and had a passion for marketing. Whether he was sharing laughter, supporting others, or pursuing his creative interests, LaVan always brought light to those around him.

Though his time with us was far too brief, his impact was lasting. His memory will continue to bring comfort and strength to those who loved him.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
