James Williams Obituary (1956 - 2026)

James A. “Jim” Williams, age 70, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away on January 24, 2026 surrounded by his loving, devoted wife and the love and support of his family. He left this world with the same quiet strength in which he lived his life. Born on January 1, 1956, in Troy, Ohio, James was raised in Brandt, Ohio and spent most of his life in Tipp City. He was a dedicated husband, supportive father, proud grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He took great pride in providing for and supporting his family and often lending a hand to a family member or friend when in need. He was a man who believed in the power of hard work and the comfort of a loving home. Taking on projects rather it be remodeling, installing a light, or working in the yard, Jim enjoyed staying busy. As time passed he learned to slow down, which provided time to watch his grand kids grow and be an active part of their life. Through the years, Jim enjoyed traveling with the family to visit his oldest daughter and family. His favorite location to relax was Pennsylvania while he sat on the deck with a Corona, enjoyed the view, and most likely took a nap. Jim spent numerous years working in multiple fields as an electrical engineer and used his knowledge in maintenance to enhance his career. While he enjoyed his work and was talented and skilled in his profession, this is not where is heart thrived. His heart beat for his family. Jim's steadfast loyalty and unwavering support were the cornerstones of his life. He carried the weight of the world so his loved ones didn't have to. He was a dedicated husband to his wife Rochelle (Reese) Williams for 49 years. Together they created a beautiful, strong family and a loving home for their children, Rachel (Fred) Williams-Scheideler, Casandra Williams, and Alivia (Katie) Williams. Jim was also a proud grandfather to Alexis, Tristen, Adelaide, Decker, and Brooklyn. Jim is also survived by his sisters Fran Freeman and Kathy Russell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Sylvia Williams, his son James Dean Williams, and his sister, Debbie Jenkins. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 Saturday, January 31, 2026, at River Valley Church 2261 S. Main St, West Milton, OH 45383. A Celebration gathering, also at River Valley Church, will take place immediately following the service.
