James Redmond

–

Dayton, Ohio

James Redmond, born on December 28, 1967, in Pennington Gap, VA, and residing in Dayton, Ohio, left us on June 9, 2025. His essence, however, will forever dwell in the hearts of his loved ones. James was a man of humble beginnings but found his passion of being a family man and doing mechanic work. He was as a jack of all trades. There wasn't nothing he couldn't do. He was a man that stood his ground but also a man that would give his shirt off his back.

James is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Redmond of 35 yrs. who held a special place in his heart.Together, they created a beautiful family. Leaving behind two daughters Lyndsey (Jake Fleure), Megan (Lee Wert), and their son Joseph Redmond. Along with six grandchildren, Secret, Mason & Emma Redmond, Haylee, Hazel, and William Fleure. James was a devoted father who taught his children and grandchildren the value of hard work, the importance of kindness, and the joy of finding passion in life's simple pleasures. Not only did James leave behind family but he is also survived by several loving friends.

Preceded in death by his beloved father, Herman Redmond. Grandparents Vern and Ethle Redmond. James was his fathers pride and joy. He instilled in him a strong work ethic and a compassionate heart, qualities that shone brightly throughout his life. Despite his physical absence, his teachings and love remained ever-present in James' life. Herman was James life long best friend. To James there was no man that held up to the light of his father.

As we bid farewell to James Redmond, we remember not just the end of his journey, but the vibrant life he lived. It was a life filled with love and compassion, a life that touched many and left indelible marks on the world. James indeed lived fully, and his legacy continues to inspire all who knew him.

We encourage friends and family to share their memories of James on the memorial page. Your stories and photos not only celebrate James' life, but they also provide comfort and connection in this time of grief. Let us remember James Redmond, not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the time we had with him.
