GREGORY EUGENE COTTRELL, JR (GJ-MAJOR) 36, was born to Sharon Ann Clemons and Gregory Eugene Cottrell Sr, in Dayton, Ohio on July 16, 1988.

Preceded in heaven by Mother Sharon Clemons; Grandmother Patricia A. (Clemons) Lucas, and many others.

He leaves behind his dad, Gregory Cottrell Sr,; daughter, Sha’Nyla Cottrell, stepdaughter, Ra’Naya Myles; significant other, Renita Higgins; brother, Dontae Clemons; niece, Serenity; nephews, Dontae and Nashawn Clemons; Grandmother Dorothy Cottrell; special cousins, Derrick Griffin and Dominic, and 2 very special friends, Durrell Pope and Arcenio Hunt, and many others.

He was employed by RTA. Things GJ loved: cars, music, Green Bay Packers, LA Lakers, sports, money, and jewelry. He was a ladies’ man as well. He loved his family and friends.

He just wanted to have a good time and live. Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting him, it was always a good time. He was just a real laid back, down-to-earth kind of person.
