Donald Black

–

Dayton, Ohio

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Scott Black, affectionately known as Don or Donnie to his close family and friends. Born in Troy, Ohio, on August 27, 1968, Donald spent his early years soaking up the charm of small-town life before bravely serving in the U.S. Navy. After his service, he moved to Kentucky and then to Dayton, Ohio, where he resided until his passing on November 25, 2024. Don's charismatic nature, wit, and resilience were admired by those who knew him. He was a thoughtful soul, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a kind word.

Donald's love for cooking led him to run his own food business, a venture he undertook with zest and passion. When he wasn't delighting loved ones with his culinary creations, Don could often be found outdoors, indulging in his hobbies of fishing and hunting. His love for nature was as vast as his love for his family. He is survived by his son, Colt Black; his daughter, Alexandria Dawn; his brother, Ronald Lambert; and his sister, Carla Leon. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bonnie Black.

In the words of Albert Pine, "What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal." Donald's legacy lives on in the hearts and memories of those he touched with his kindness and generosity. We encourage all who knew and loved Donald to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page, keeping his spirit alive in the stories and images that captured his essence.
