Charles Frye

–

Springfield, Ohio

Charles Everett Frye, known affectionately as "Chuck" to his loved ones, passed away on October 14, 2026. Born on August 29, 1950, in Dayton, OH, Charles lived a life marked by resilience, intelligence, and a love for family and craftsmanship that was as deep as it was wide. A talented problem solver at heart and a Master HVAC Technician by profession, Charles used his hands to build beautiful things, solve complex problems, and leave a lasting impact on everyone he met. His passion for craftsmanship was not just an occupation, but a way of life that he generously shared with those around him. As the saying goes, "The work of the hands is the song of the heart," and Charles sang a beautiful melody.

Charles was a resilient man, but he was also loving, smart, and full of talent. His work with Stewards Tri-State in Dayton, Ohio, was a testament to his intelligence and skill, but his true genius lay in his ability to love deeply, laugh heartily, and live fully. He was a beacon of warmth and light in the lives of his family and friends, and his enduring spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him. Above all, Charles cherished his family. His beloved wife, Alisa, was his rock, and his boys were his pride and joy. His love for them was unshakeable, unyielding, and unconditional. “The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and be loved in return," and Charles embodied this quote every day of his life.

Charles is survived by his wife, Alisa; sons Jeremy (Tiffany), Stephen (Sarah), Michael (Mirian), and Charles Jr. (Kristi); siblings Karen Frye, Larry Frye, Helen Frye, and Charla McDivitt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Charles Frye Sr. and brother, Richard Fryman. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and countless others who were fortunate enough to have known him.

In celebrating Charles's life, we encourage friends and family to share their memories and upload any cherished photos to his memorial page. As we remember Charles, let us honor his spirit by living out his legacy of resilience, love, and craftsmanship.
