Dayton, Ohio

Anita Smith, a beacon of compassion and a pillar of support in the lives of those she loved, passed away on November 5, 2025. Born on October 20, 1969, in Dayton, Ohio, Anita was a woman who embodied thoughtfulness and loyalty in all her endeavors. Her resounding spirit and unwavering resilience will be fondly remembered and eternally cherished.

Anita's passion for life was visible in all she did. As a hairstylist for 35 years, she brought beauty and joy into the lives of her clients. Her nurturing personality extended beyond her profession, touching the lives of her daughters, Javairia Caesar and Hayden Wright, to whom she was not only a mother but a mentor, friend, and confidante. Her love for her family was boundless, and she was a treasured daughter to Marlaine Wright and Marvin Sr, a beloved sister to Tina Collier, a dear niece to Linda Lindsey and aunt to Tramale “nephew” Forbes. Her love, support, and guidance will forever echo in their lives. As Albert Schweitzer beautifully said, "The only escape from the miseries of life is music and cats," Anita found solace and happiness in her hobbies of shopping, reading, and learning about holistic medicine.

Anita's life was a testament to her strength and determination. As an individual, she was a testament to her ability to provide comfort and understanding, to offer a listening ear, and to stand as a stalwart of support in times of need. Her legacy is etched in the hearts and minds of those she touched, her influence reaching far beyond the confines of her hometown of Dayton. The community will always remember Anita's unwavering commitment to health and wellness, her infectious laughter, and her radiant smile that could brighten even the darkest of days.
